Wheaton Twilight Team Results
WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's track team finished third of five and the women's team was fifth of six at the Wheaton Twilight outdoor track and field meet on Wednesday, April 13.
The Titans' men's team had 80 points as North Central was the team winner with 295 points.
The IWU women's team amassed 71 points as North Central was also the women's with 173.50 points.
Sophomore
Tara Clemens was the winner of the 800 meter run with a time of 2:12.96. She also ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team that finished with a time of 3:49.85. Other runners were juniors
Shavantay Thomas and
Jessica Christy and sophomore
Lauren Rock.
Senior
Lorin Biosca took second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:08.13 and freshman
Shelby Jackson was second in the discus throw at 40.10 meters.
Christy was third in the 200 (25.55 seconds) and Rock was third in the 400 (58.91 seconds).
Junior
Tyler Saunders got second in the 800 in 1:56.28 and junior
Max Lustick earned a second place in the 1500 meter run with his time of 3:56.49.
Junior
Steven Kirk was second in the discus (43.08 meters) and senior
Darien West was second in the hammer throw at 51.15 meters.
Junior
Adam Harrison third in the 100 meter dash (11.51 seconds) while
Andrew Petro earned a third place finish in the shot put at 13.67 meters.
The men's 4x400 relay team of seniors
Aaron Ball,
Mike Burgess,
Noah Dunham and freshman
Zach Morrison got second with a 3:19.07 time and the men's 4x100 team also got second with its time of 43.20 seconds.
The 4x100 team consisted of Ball, Morrison, Harrison and sophomore
Ross Munsterman.
