Women's Results
GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's team finished fourth of 12 and the men's team was sixth of 11 at the DePauw University Outdoor Invitational, held at Blackstock Stadium in Greencastle, Ind., on Saturday, April 2.
The men's team had 63 points as the winning team was Vincennes with 154. Vincennes also won the women's meet with 139.50 points as the Titans amassed 87.50 points.
The men had two individual winners – junior
Steven Kirk took the hammer throw in 173 feet-11 inches and freshman Joey Pacione won the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet-3 ½ inches.
Senior Alex Lambert was second in the pole vault, clearing 14 feet-7 ¼ inches, and freshman Aaron Smith placed third in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10:10.04.
Junior Max Lustick got third in the 1500 (4:08.92) and fourth in the 5000 (15:57.10).
On the women's side, senior
Lorin Biosca won the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:58.13 and the women's team had six top three finishes and the 4x100 relay team placed second with a time of 48.66 seconds.
Junior
Lauren Alpert got second in the 200 with a time of 25.35 seconds and was third in the 100 in 12.59 seconds.
Third place finishes were earned by freshman
Mallory Kirby in the 800 (2:20.63), junior
Jessica Christy in the 200 (27.07 seconds), senior
Kyla Motz in the hammer throw (149 feet-9 inches) and freshman
Sarah Bussman in the triple jump (33 feet-8 ¾ inches).
