2011 NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track Championship Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Illinois Wesleyan junior
Lauren Alpert placed fourth in the long jump on the first day of the NCAA Division III national indoor track and field championships with a school record leap of 18 feet-10 3/4 inches.
Sophomore Ashlynn Chavis of Methodist University was the winner with a jump of 19 feet-5 1/2 inches, followed by junior Skye Morrison of Wartburg College (19 feet-4 inches), sophomore Melissa Norville of Illinois College (19 feet- 1/2 inches) and Alpert.
Alpert also qualified for the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.98 seconds. That final will be at 5:35 p.m. Saturday. Sophomore
Lauren Rock did not advance to the finals with her preliminary run of 57.98 seconds.

Tara Clemens had a time of 2:13.65 and qualified for the finals of the 800 meter run, which will be staged at 6:20 p.m. Saturday.
Senior
Darien West got sixth place in the weight throw with his distance of 62 feet-8 3/4 inches. The winner was Pete Delzer from Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a winning toss of 64 feet-3 3/4 inches.
IWU junior
Steven Kirk did not qualify for the finals and had a distance of 59 feet-5 inches.

Lorin Biosca placed 10th with a time of 12:20.95. The winning team came from Middlebury College with a time of 11:47.96.
