CCIW Day One Results, Feb. 25
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Both the Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's track teams are in third place after day one of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships on Friday, Feb. 25 at the Shirk Center.
The IWU men have accumulated 44 points and trail North Central with 90 and Augustana with 49.
The Titan women have 34 points and are behind North Central at 91 and Carthage with 55.
Junior
Lauren Alpert won the long jump with a conference record distance of 18 feet-6 ½ inches (5.65 meters), topping the old CCIW mark of 5.53 meters set in 2006 by IWU's Melissa Harden.
IWU women got first in the distance medley relay with a conference record time of 12:20.58, eclipsing the mark set in 2006 by North Central (12:25.33). The team consisted of sophomore

Lorin Biosca got third in the 5000 with a time of 18:23.68

Kyla Motz earned a third place finish in the weight throw with an NCAA Division III provisional distance of 51 feet-5 ¾ inches.

Darien West got first and junior
Steven Kirk got second in the weight throw, both with NCAA automatic qualifying marks. West had a distance of 61 feet-11 inches while Kirk was at 60 feet-9 ¼ inches.
The IWU men also got first in the distance medley relay with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 10:10.31. The relay team consisted of junior

Noah Dunham and junior
Max Lustick.
Junior
Adam Harrison finished third in the pentathlon with 3175 points and senior
Alex Lambert got a fourth place finish in the pole vault with a height of 14 feet-10 inches.
Day two of the championships get underway at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26.
