AMES, Iowa - The Bradley women's track & field team capped its 2010 indoor season Saturday with three personal-best times in the 800-meter run and one season-best time in the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA Qualifier hosted by Iowa State's Lied Recreation Center.
In the 800-meter run, senior Katie Nowak (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake H.S.) paced the Braves with a 14th-place finish and established a new personal-best time of 2:12.72. Junior Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North H.S.) matched her season-best time of 2:15.86 and crossed the finish line in 16th place, while sophomore Michelle Hartman (Savanna, Ill./Prince of Peace H.S.) earned 18th place at 2:18.04 in her first career 800-meter. Lastly, junior Leann Murphy (Rochester, Ill./Rochester H.S.) topped her previous personal best by .01 seconds, taking 21st place with a time of 2:19.02.
The quartet then combined to set a new season-best time in the 4x400-meter relay, crossing the finish line in 12th place at 4:02.59.
Bradley will open its outdoor season Friday, March 19 at the Tulsa Duels in Tulsa, Okla.
