The scoop:

After a week on the road against stout competition, both Tiger squads return some home cooking. The girls are defending champions and should have an easy time in defending their championship. The 19:38 average per girl will be the challenge to beat. Jenna Schwartz of Waterloo is the defending champ and she will look to get on track after a so-so placement in her season opener last week in Peoria. She will battle Edwardsville's Abby Korak for the title. Nerinx Hall HS of Missouri has freshman Francis Howell to challenge the big two.

The boys of Edwardsville will be the heavy favorite here if Missouri power Rock Bridge decides to hold back. Just like their girls, the task will be to complete the race in good fashion and maybe go after the scoring average of a year ago which was 17:03. Roland Prenzler is the team ace and he is the big favorite to win it all.
