Alumni Report: Division 1 Championship

Former Frankfort (Lincoln-Way East) superstar Aaliyah Brown aka "The Franchise" closed a great career for Texas A&M with a fourth place finish in the 200m running 22.79

Eugene, Oregon-

Texas A&M senior senior Aaliyah Brown raced in the 100m and 200m finals, placing fourth in the longer sprint with a 22.79 (1.1 wind) while finishing seventh with an 11.21 (0.3 wind) in the 100m to score seven team points.

"Today I just wanted to come out here and represent Texas A&M as well as possible," said Brown. "I think I did that. My 100 wasn't as good, but it was still a fast final. In the 200, I wanted to finish with a bang, since it's my senior year."

"I missed having a 4x100 to run prior to my individual races, because it gets me ready and in a pattern to race. Since I didn't have that, I told my coach I wanted my warm-up to be a little more intense. That's what we did to put my legs in a 4x1 situation without being in one."
