GATORLAND RUN

Results

Class AAA #4 Bret Crawford (Grayson County) and AAA #18 Kyle Johnson (Bowling Green) go head to head for the 4th time this season with Crawford taking the victory getting revenge from the Purple Strider Invitational.  Crawford rolls a 16:13 to Johnon's 16:41.  Tennessee's Father Ryan takes the team win over Madisonville North Hopkins.  Madisonville was led by Caleb Whitefield in 7th place.  

Class AAA #3 Kaitlyn Lacy wins with a 19:09 over AAA #8 Sierra Poppell's 19:21.  AAA #6 Male won with 40 points over Bullitt East's 70.

MCCALLIE XC INVITE(TN)

AAA #1 Trinity finishes 2nd overall with 105 behind Oak Ridge TN with 87,  Senior Vince Turner wins with a PR 15:49.

 

ASHLAND INVITATIONAL

Results

 

Boyd County goes 1-2 in the Varsity Girls race with senior Darian Steele taking the win in 20:45 with Courtney Gibson in 2nd at 21:33.  The 1-2 finish helps lead Boyd County to the team win 46 to Ashland Blazer's 54.

 

Tyler Andre (Russell) takes the win over South Point Ohio's Tyler Mathes.  Andre crossed the line in 16:58.  8th grader Elijah Miller throws down a 17:23 which ranks as the 2nd fastest middle school time in the state.  AA #6 Russell goes on to win the team title with 36 points.  

 

 

ATHERTON INVITATIONAL

Results

 

Atherton goes 1-2 in their home invitational with junior Marcus Grady winning.  Kainen Grimm finishes 2nd overall for Atherton.  AA #5 Shelby County wins with 38 points over Ballard with 53.

 

CAPITAL VIEW CLASSIC

Results

Class A #1 St. Henry crushes the field taking 1-5 to score a 15.  Class A #3 Samantha Hentz wins by over a minute with a 20:21.  Former Class A#1 Renee Svec fights her way back after being out for a couple weeks with a 21:24 for second.  

Butler's Austin Moran fought the hills and takes the win with a 17:43 (solid time for a tough course) over teamate Joseph Ray in 2nd.  Butler wins with 20 points.

 

MARSHALL COUNTY INVITATIONAL

Results

 

Jackson (MO) goes 1-2, placing 3 in the Top 4 with winner Jack Jeffers running 16:43.  The out of staters won with 25 points.  Kentucky's top team was Meade County in 2nd with 37 points.  Meade was led by Jonathan Howard in 3rd place overall. 

On the girls side, Jackson goes 1-3 with Chelsea Drum winning in 19:11.  Nice time for this course.  Ashlee Davis and Hannah King both from Meade County were 4th and 5th overall to place as the top Kentucky runners.  

 

PALATINE INVITATIONAL

Class AAA #2 St. Xavier finishes 3rd overall just 11 points behind the winners St. Louis University High School.  AAA #7 Spencer Hayden finished 9th overall with a 15:05 for the 3 Mile course.

Class AAA #2 Assumption finished 5th overall with 142 points led by two runners in the Top 10.  Abbie Wright was 6th overall with a 17:45 and Sarah Crawford was 10th in 17:55.  AAA #3 Daviess County placed 10th overall in the loaded Illinois field led by Breanna Alderton in 37th place.  (List of Kentucky finishers in order)

 

 

ST. XAVIER INVITATIONAL

 

AA #1 Ethan Shuley fought Cincy St. Xavier's Michael Vitucci to the line running 15:32.70 for 2nd overall.  Vitucci finished .5 second ahead to win.  Cooper senior Zach Stewart was 4th overall with a 15:56 to lead AAA #3 Cooper to a 4th place finish with 109.  AAA #4 Daviess County scored 184 to finish 6th overall led by Tyler Dobbs in 17th.  AA #2 Highlands was 11th overall with 320 beating AA #7 Covington Catholic by 78 points.  (Kentucky finishers in order by time)

In the Division 2 race, Chris Loos paced Class A #2 Bishop Brossart with a 3rd place finish in 16:58.  Scott's Chris Stoeckel was 5th overall in 17:04.  Brossart won the team title with 78.

Class A #2 Karly Gawarecki (Holy Cross) traveled north to finish 3rd overall with a 18:50.3 beating Class AA #3 Erin Edmundson who finished 7th overall in 19:32.  Class AA #1 Highlands finished as the top KY team in 6th overall with 172 beating AA #2 North Oldham by 77 points.   Highlands was led by a 1-2 punch of Chloe Gastright 14th overall and Molly Mearns 16th.  

Class AA #6 Alexis Flynn won the Division 2 race with a 19:27.  Martha Layne Collins was the top squad from Kentucky in 11th place.

 

WAYNE COUNTY INVITATIONAL

Results

 

Whitley County's Dalton Walden wins with a 17:09 over Tanner Carson of McCreary Central in 2nd.  The host Wayne County won big with 29 finishing 50 points better than Whitley County in 2nd.  Wayne County was led by Zachary Tucker in 3rd overall.  

 

7th grader Victoria Dotson continued her early success this XC season with another win this time with a 20:54.  She crossed the line nearly 2 minutes in front of teammate Sierra Mercer.  Rockcastle County scores a perfect 15 led by a 1-3 finish.
