TRINITY/VALKYRIE INVITATIONAL (HS)

On Friday night at Sacred Heart Academy I had the opportunity to meet the Head Coach from Lake Braddock High School in Virginia, Mike Mangan.   Right off the bat I could tell this was a coach that was definitely interesting to talk to.  Well after the meet today, I found Coach Mangan to interview him about the trip up to Louisville.  But quickly I learned, Lake Braddock was not just a typical team.  The school had put out 14 Foot Locker finalist in its history including 2012 South champion, Sophia Chase.  Not being avid follower of Virginia XC (sorry Brandon & Nolan) I definitely knew who she was but just did not realize she was from Lake Braddock.  In this 6 minute conversation/interview Coach Mangan talks about the trip to Louisville, school history, and building a tradition amongst other things.  

The trip turned out well for the team as they came away with the Varsity Girls South Division Championship and a runner-up finish in the Varsity Boys South Division.
