University of Wisconsin-Madison Cross Country Camp Evaluation Run

Are you sick of the summer stalemate where guys allegedly getting ready for the fall country season? Do you often wonder what some of the top cross country guys are doing? Are you running enough?

Madison, WI was the place to be this past week for eager cross country runners from around the Midwest. The camp was hosted by U of Wisconsin staff and it was a dandy.

The time trial is conducted prior to the final day in two races (group 1 & 2) on a paved course in which most of the runners compete in their training shoes.

Several of the top runners from the state of Illinois took part in the festivities including Dan Lathrop (Plainfield South) and Matt Plowman (York). Both runners will be vying for top honors in this fall’s 3A cross country state championship and beyond.
